Current INES Ph.D. student Matt Gropp was recently selected as the winner of the 2019 Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award. His M.S. thesis, titled “Assessing the Impact of the Nocturnal Transition on the Lifetime and Evolution of Supercell Thunderstorms in the Great Plains,” was completed in 2017 under the direction of Dr. Casey Davenport. The thesis was chosen by the Graduate School as one that made an unusually significant contribution to the disciplines based on its methodological and substantive quality. Congratulations Matt!
