GES Students and Faculty at AGU

In mid-December, several students and faculty from Geography and Earth Sciences will be representing UNC Charlotte at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting https://fallmeeting.agu.org/2017/program-overview/ in New Orleans. The conference is the biggest Geo Scientists gathering in the world with over 20,000 attendees. Alex Schaefer (INES PhD student) and Professors Missy Eppes, David Vinson, Celine Martin, Jack Scheff, and Brian Magi are each presenting some of their current research. Brian Magi is also chairing a session called “Quantifying Drivers of Global and Regional Fire Patterns Using Data and Models” with both poster and oral presentations. Charley Fite (Meteorology BS senior) is attending to meet with fellow interns from his Summer 2017 NASA SARP internship. See the links below to learn more.
